Hey guys,
I thought I should keep you updated on what's going on back in Germany. It's been so busy and there is so much going on here! I miss you all, though, and I'm still planning to come back next summer (If I find a job).
I left Fairfield June 22. We had two more days in Washington D.C. Some of you know I got this scholarship, called "CBYX." There were 54 German students who got the same one as me, and like 50 Americans, too. We all got together in DC, which was really fun.
On June 25, I arrived back in Germany. I still have a jetlag! I can't go to sleep before 2am, which is really annoying. My room is still a mess, too. So as you see, I'm not exactly settled in yet!
The sunday after June 25, I took off. Monday, I went to school, talked to my guidance and gave her my report card (I don't exactly know what she needed it for, but it wasn't a bad one so I don't mind) and got to see everybody again. I went shopping afterwards (with my older sister) and when I came home, I picked up a friend of mine and we went to McDonalds and hat coffee (it's not as bad over here. They have a seperat McCafe where they sell cake and bakery stuff. It's actually pretty good, and we used to do that last year whenever we had hard tests in school we had to study for. It looks nicer than McDonalds in America, too).
On June 28, I planned on going to school again, but I slept longer than expected (I guess I just didn't hear the alarm due to the fact I didn't get to sleep before 4am). That night, I went to one of these spots in our city. I don't know how you call it, but here you have a picture of it:

During the day, people do all sorts of stuff on there, like playing soccer or frisbee. At night, we just hang there and sometimes listen to music or play the guitar or stuff. It's actually really nice. :)
Wednesday, a friend of mine came back fro Brazil, which is where he went for his exchange year. I went there for his welcoming party, and it was really nice because we had a little BBQ and surprisingly, the weather wasn't too bad that day. You gotta know, it rains every single day in Germany. It's depressing. Since I've been back, there have been like two, three days tops when the sun was shining, and only one of those days it came out longer than two hours.
Thursday, I went to the summer concert of my German school. They don't have summer break until next wednesday, and each Thursday before the break they have a concert. I used to play in the school orchestra, so I went listening to it. It was actually not too bad! :)
Saturday, my sister had her prom. Prom in Germany is different than here. You only have one, when you graduate. You family comes with you (but most of the times, they leave earlier than you do) and you stay there until like 3 or 4 in the morning. My school's prom and my sister's school's prom (we're going to different schools) were pretty much at the same location, just like New Oxford and ours this year. We were allowed to switch, though, so that's what I did. It was nice and I really had fun. :)
Sunday, I spent the night at my best friends house. We are friends since elementary school which is great since we haven't been going to the same school for 7 years now. Whenever we hang out, we always end up taking pictures, as you can see in facebook. It was really nice felt good to see her again since she's like my second family here in Germany.
That's basically what I did so far. I'll try to update my blog more often in the future, but right now, the German soccer ladies are playing against France and I really wanna see that game. I'll talk to you later, I guess!
